Tapestry Workshop | Marilyn Rea-Menzies

10am - 4pm each day

About

Join artist and teacher Marilyn Rea-Menzies for a two-day tapestry workshop (10am-4pm) suitable for beginners and those with some tapestry weaving experience.

Participants will develop a simple contemporary design using coloured paper collage and drawing, create a small cartoon to guide their weaving, learn how to warp a tapestry frame loom, and practise basic tapestry techniques before finishing their piece, ready to take home and mount as a small wall artwork.

This workshop will run over two days – 29th and 30th of August. Each day’s session will run from 10am – 4pm, and participants will need to attend both days.

There is a charge of $90 which includes the cost of a take home frame.
